Miri car workshop checklist: stay safe and get a clear quotation

Use this Miri checklist when a vehicle needs a workshop, tyre, battery or aircon check.

If a vehicle stops in an unsafe position, switch on hazard lights when possible, move people away from traffic and do not work under or beside the vehicle in danger. For a crash, fire, injury or immediate threat, call 999 first.

For ordinary workshop work, share the make, model, warning light, symptoms, location and a short video only when safely parked. Ask whether the diagnostic charge is separate, whether used or new parts are proposed, how long the repair should take and whether the estimate changes only after your approval.

Keep the job sheet and invoice. Before collecting the vehicle, check the stated repair, parts warranty, new warning lights and any follow-up service interval. If a repair cannot be completed that day, confirm safe parking and the next update time.
